The National Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Conference 2024, organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), commenced on October 3, 2024, in Abuja. The event was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investment, led by the Honourable Minister, Dr. Doris Anite.
During the conference, the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) announced a groundbreaking initiative that enables business owners to complete their company registration online within 24 hours.
This move is part of ongoing efforts to make business registration more accessible, efficient, and seamless for entrepreneurs across Nigeria.
Dr. Anite, while applauding the initiative, stated, “The Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investment is proud to partner with the CAC to provide a user-friendly digital platform that significantly reduces the time and effort required to register a business.
This platform also offers bulk registration capabilities, which will greatly benefit organizations looking to formalize multiple entities at once.”

With this initiative, the CAC aims to eliminate delays and bureaucratic bottlenecks, ensuring that business owners can focus on growth and sustainability.
The 2024 MSME Conference serves as a platform for stakeholders to discuss and implement policies and strategies that will enhance the ease of doing business for Nigerian entrepreneurs.
