The Benue State Government has earmarked N110 billion—20% of its N550.1 billion 2025 budget—for infrastructural development, focusing on key projects such as the completion of the underpass in Gboko and Makurdi, water schemes in Otukpo and Katsina-Ala, and the construction of new government complexes.
Agriculture and food security will receive N84.08 billion, while the digital economy sector is set to get N18.7 billion.
The state will also establish technical and innovation hubs across its three senatorial districts, build skills acquisition centers for 600 female IDPs, and enhance power distribution in Makurdi, Otukpo, and Katsina-Ala.

The budget will be funded through the federation account (N430.3 billion), independent revenue (N35.5 billion), aids and grants (N26.4 billion), and a capital development fund receipt of N57.7 billion.
Governor Alia’s administration emphasizes human capital development, sustainability, and digital innovation, with a commitment to transparency and accountability, according to the Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula.
