Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the state. He made this pledge while accepting the 2024 Most SME Conscious Governor Award during the National MSME Conference at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Governor Mohammed, represented by his deputy, Auwal Jatau, expressed gratitude to the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) for recognizing the state’s efforts.
He stated that the award is not only a testament to the administration’s dedication but also a reflection of the collaborative efforts of stakeholders committed to the growth of MSMEs.
The governor highlighted several initiatives undertaken by his administration, including accessible funding programs, streamlined business registration processes, and capacity-building workshops.

He also emphasized the state’s focus on infrastructural development, ensuring roads and markets meet the needs of the business community.
“We are proud of our partnerships with local and international organizations that have bolstered our efforts. Together, we can build a thriving ecosystem that uplifts our state and contributes significantly to our nation’s economic development,” he stated.
SMEDAN Director General, Charles Odii, acknowledged Governor Mohammed’s positive impact on MSME development, stressing that the award reflects his administration’s strides in fostering entrepreneurship and economic growth in Bauchi State.
