Former Nigerian Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, expressed profound sorrow following the Yola Main Market blaze. Through a press release on Wednesday, the Waziri Adamawa conveyed his solidarity with the fire’s victims and disclosed a donation of N10 million as an initial contribution to a relief fund.
In his statement, Atiku emphasized the urgent need for donations from fellow Nigerians to bolster the Yola Market Fire Relief Fund, aimed at aiding the Adamawa State Government in market reconstruction and assisting fire victims.

Additionally, the former Vice President stressed the importance of prioritizing preventive measures and robust infrastructure to mitigate future fire incidents, highlighting the necessity of proactive strategies to avert such calamities.
