Job Summary

We are looking to employ an HR Assistant with outstanding administrative and communication skills. An HR Assistant is expected to be a conceptual thinker with superb organizational and time management skills. You must be reliable and should accurately follow instructions with the ability to multitask and acclimatize to a fast-paced environment.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Performing administrative duties, such as maintaining employee databases and sorting emails for the HR department
  • Maintaining proper records of employee attendance and leave
  • Assist in submitting online job postings, shortlisting candidates and scheduling job interviews with payroll duties
  • Assisting the HR Manager in policy formulation, hiring and salary administration
  • Coordinating orientation and training sessions for new employees
  • Serving as a point of contact, providing smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries
  • Managing and coordinating schedules for the HR department, including meetings and events
  • Ensuring compliance with employment and labour laws

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related (essential).
  • 3-4 years of experience as an HR assistant (essential).
  • Exposure to labour law and employment equity regulations.
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills.
  • Exposure to payroll practices.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
  • Fantastic organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions.

Location: Lagos

Remuneration: NGN 200,000 -250,000 Net
