The Akwa Ibom State Government is gearing up to launch the Arise Youth Employment Portal, a key initiative promised by Governor Pastor Umo Eno during the September Youth Rally at Uyo Township Stadium. The virtual launch is slated for Monday, October 21, 2024, at the State Executive Council Chambers.
According to the Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, the portal will provide unemployed and underemployed youths with access to employment and training opportunities from both the state government and the private sector.

Despite the recent passing of the Governor’s wife, Pastor Patience Eno, the administration continues to operate efficiently.
Dr. Frank Ekpenyong, Senior Special Assistant on ICT, explained that the portal will serve as a vital recruitment tool for state and private sector jobs, offering a centralized platform for skilled youths to apply and upload their qualifications.
The platform is expected to support various empowerment initiatives, including the Dakkada Skill Acquisition Programmes and recruitment into Ibom Community Watch.
