The Principal Special Assistant to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri on Media and Communication, Mr. George Kushi, has emphasized that Adamawa State is at the forefront of rural development and empowerment.
Kushi made this statement during the third quarter media parley held in Yola, the state capital, where he highlighted the administration’s achievements and how rural communities are benefiting from the state government’s initiatives.
“Agriculture is experiencing a significant boom in Adamawa State, with electricity, rural roads, and medical facilities being established at an unprecedented pace,” Kushi announced. He added that these developments have led to a decline in rural-urban migration, as people are increasingly finding opportunities and amenities in their communities.

He further highlighted the N70,000 minimum wage policy implemented by Governor Fintiri’s administration, which has gained praise nationwide. Additionally, the ‘Fintiri Wallet’ empowerment program has impacted over 20,000 beneficiaries, enabling women and youths to start small businesses and support their families.
Kushi also noted the state government’s significant investments in infrastructure and transportation, including the construction of road networks linking rural areas. The introduction of the ‘Fresh Air’ buses has provided affordable public transport, benefiting both students and the general public.
“Security has also improved significantly,” Kushi remarked, pointing out a drastic reduction in the activities of local ruffians known as ‘shilla boys’.
Governor Fintiri’s promise of “no one left behind and nothing left untouched” appears to be fulfilled, as accolades pour in from across the state. “Adamawa State under Governor Fintiri’s leadership is setting the pace for others to follow,” Kushi stated.
“We are committed to ensuring that every citizen benefits from our policies and programs,” he concluded.
