At a major political gathering in Abuja, Dr. Mary Idele Alile and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu unveiled a strategic initiative focused on empowering Nigerian women economically and politically.
The Women National Summit, themed “Empowering Women for Leadership and Nation Building,” brought together female leaders from across the nation, all dedicated to challenging the status quo and effecting meaningful change in their communities.
Dr. Alile highlighted the vital role of mentorship and networking in advancing women’s political aspirations, emphasizing that the potential of female leaders is just beginning to be realized. She connected the importance of gender equality to broader economic growth.

Senator Tinubu encouraged women to rally around one another in their political pursuits and to overcome self-imposed barriers. She advocated for legislative measures to enhance women’s representation in the National Assembly, noting that the forthcoming election represents a crucial opportunity for women to shape governance.
