Women currently own a stunning 40% of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) nationally, according to the research titled “Country Data Overview,” indicating a resounding win for gender equality and women empowerment in Nigeria’s commercial landscape.
The findings of the NBS emphasize the significant impact of women-owned MSMEs on the country’s economic growth and employment creation. According to the research, these enterprises, driven by creative female entrepreneurs, are emerging as key drivers of Nigeria’s economic rebound, contributing considerably to the country’s development in a variety of areas.
According to the survey, Nigerian women are breaking down barriers and rethinking traditional gender roles in entrepreneurship. It was highlighted that their unyielding dedication and entrepreneurial skills are transforming the face of business ownership, motivating a new generation of aspiring female leaders to seize control of their lives.

The research also emphasizes the difficulties that women entrepreneurs confront, particularly in obtaining money, technology, and business support. NBS advised industry stakeholders, governments, and financial institutions to collaborate in order to foster women’s entrepreneurship.
According to the survey, targeted support, financing access, and mentorship programs “can propel these trailblazing women to even greater heights of success.”
